Iman Safaeian is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering who has been actively involved in industry and entrepreneurship in Iran for many years. In 2007, while pursuing an MBA in India, he had the opportunity to become familiar with the Gathas and the teachings of Iran’s ancient culture. This connection to Iran’s spiritual and cultural heritage opened a new path in his life.
He is the founder and CEO of the non-governmental organization “Damavand,” established with the aim of promoting and supporting Iranian culture and art. This NGO has successfully carried out extensive activities in various artistic and cultural fields.

Shervineh Didandeh is an accomplished Director and First Assistant Director with over 15 years of experience in the global film industry. She holds a degree in Film Directing and an MBA from the prestigious New York Institute of Technology.

Since 2008, Shervineh has contributed to over 100 film projects, demonstrating her commitment to excellence across various genres. Her expertise spans directing, assistant directing, and art direction.

Shervineh has received notable accolades for her technical and artistic achievements, including nominations at the Shahr Film Festival (2022) for Best Script, Best Directing, and Best Short Film. Her work has been showcased at numerous esteemed festivals, including:

In May 2018, she was interviewed by CBC Canada as the Best Female Planner and featured by Showbiz Tonight of Bangladesh as the Top Female Filmmaker in January 2018. She also participated in the Florence Film Awards Festival (July 2019) and the Changing Face International Film Festival (August 2019), and was a finalist at the Lonely Seal International Film and Screenplay Festival (August 2019). Additionally, she directed “Leber Chromosome 17,” which was selected for the Tehran International Film Festival in October 2021.

Born in Tehran- Iran, Shooka Hosseini started writing poetry in her teens and her first collection “The Earth Was a Political Planet” was published in 2015 and won the second prize in Shamlou Poetry Awards in 2016.
Shooka is one of the outspoken younger generation of female poets who writes boldly about all matters of social, political and intellectual life and her sharp unreserved tone, erotic and feminist approach complemented by a mastery of form has brought her recognition among the literary circles in Iran and the Persian-speaking world.
She studied Persian Literature and did her postgraduate studies in Linguistics and  clinical psychology.
Shooka is also a performance artist and has performed with a number of renowned musicians and artists. “Standing Words”, “Death is Distributed Justly” and “Women Speak in My Head” are just a few of her successful performance poetry projects. Shooka writes book reviews and literary criticism and has also gained herself a reputation as a theatre critic.
Her second collection “Streets in my Head” was published in 2020.

Faramarz Kalantari, a graduate in Dramatic Literature, has over 25 years of experience in writing, acting, and directing theater. He has consistently produced works that are not only artistically outstanding but also deeply impactful for the audience. His aim has always been to portray social and human concerns through art and to convey meaningful and lasting messages.

He has conducted extensive research in Iranian theater, and several of his research papers and articles have been published. Additionally, Faramarz has taught acting and directing at various art institutions.

Throughout his artistic career, he has written and directed over fifty stage and street performances and has appeared as an actor or director in seven short and feature films. His work has earned him numerous awards. Besides serving as a judge in several theater festivals, he has twice been recognized as Theater Artist of the Year.

His latest work, Ahi, a documentary theater production, will be staged in Vancouver, Canada. Currently, he serves as the senior editor of CPI Party, an international media outlet in Canada and the USA.

Ali Khazaeli is an experienced IT professional and Site Security Manager with over 11 years of expertise. He is skilled in C++ and Python, with extensive experience in Linux environments. Ali graduated from Vancouver Island University in 2020.

Amin Shahed
Director of Visual Arts

Amin Shahed is a writer, editor, and visual artist.

He graduated in Visual Communication and has extensive experience in critique, research, article writing, exhibition curation, art judging, and consulting for private art institutions. He has held four solo exhibitions and participated in several group shows. While not bound to any specific medium, his works often focus on photography and design. Since 1999, he has collaborated with various publications.

From 2013 to 2018, he co-founded and edited the independent online magazine Pelle, which focused on visual arts critique. Currently, he is the editor-in-chief and founder of the interdisciplinary quarterly Nahib, exploring art studies across various fields.
